Texas: Houston, Corpus Christie, & San Antonio
Hooray. Family has come. My mom, dad, sister and
brother-in-law arrived.

Vern, Tomas, Cathy, Nancy, Dale, Toria, Carmen & Todd on a very windy day
in Corpus Christie.
We only had a couple of days in Houston so we didn't get too much time to
sight-see although we did make it to Johnson Space Center where NASA has
both their mission control center and where they train the astronauts.
Our next stop was our last stop along the beach - we stayed in Port
Aransas (near Corpus Christie). It was a nice place although a little
windy. They have this great beach - it's like 60 miles long and
you can drive on it. Some people even take their fancy trailers and
spend a few weeks living on the sand! It was so cool.
We're currently in San Antonio where we've visited the Alamo, the
Riverwalk, El Mercado (Mexican Market) and, of course, had a good ol' Texas
B-B-Q!

This is NASA's mock-up of the Canada-Arm where it trains the astronauts (today was Saturday so no astronauts were working).
